Which Used iPad Should I Buy?

Apple's first tablet computer was released back in 1993, but after the introduction of the first iPad in 2010 a subsequent 14 models/versions have been released, with the 12.7 inch iPad Pro currently leading the way in terms of specifications. This blog post will inform you of the different options available and different prices so that you get the best option for your needs.

Size

The size of the iPad will be the first thing that you need to look at as it will narrow down your search options to just those which suit your needs. To give some perspective of the different sizes available, whilst the iPad mini 4 has a 7.9" retina display, the iPad Pro goes up to a whopping 12.9" display! Obviously there are options in-between as these are merely the biggest and the smallest; the majority of people therefore opt for the 'standard' iPad with the latest model having a more accessible 9.7" retina display. Once you have an idea where you stand on the spectrum (mini -> standard -> pro), you can start looking at the storage options available.

storage

As the iPad's have progressed there has also been a progression with the amount of storage available, which currently goes as high as 512GB. But don't be fooled, always remember that a great deal of your 'stuff' can/could be stored on the Cloud, but this requires a cost-benefit analysis for each individual. Obviously, the only downside to getting a greater storage capacity is the increase in cost, so factor this in before you set your sights on a brand new iPad Pro which costs as much as £1,249.

age

Whilst the options available to you in terms of the iPad's age is restricted by the size and storage options that you want, there is one key thing to remember, the greater the age of the device, the lower price you will pay. At Buy Sell technology Ltd. we frame ourselves as a 'premium used technology store' and therefore only buy/sell devices from the last 4 years as this enables our customers to obtain affordable prices without compromising on quality. Whether you buy with us or through other means, 4 years is a good margin to work from, and from there you can find storage, size and specifications which suit your needs.

price

At the end of the day, if the price isn't right, you aren't going to buy the device. The whole idea behind buying a used iPad is that you don't want to pay the obscene price for a brand new product. Therefore, once you have decided on the size, storage and age of the devices that you will be looking at, you can find a price which suits your budget.
