iPhone or iPhone Plus?

One of the biggest differences between iPhone models is whether you go for the standard option, or push the boat out and get the plus model. The plus models are superb devices for anything from watching your favourite TV show on the move, to looking at business documents. In summary, the plus model lets you see everything bigger, clearer and makes the entertainment aspect of a phone far more enjoyable.

However, there are some rather obvious setback to the plus model with one major issue that stick out: the enormous size. With the iPhone 8 Plus having a 5.5" screen compared to the 8's 4.7" screen, it can boast some serious problems that starts with its ability to comfortably fit in your pocket. The other key issue that users often pick up on is actually using it for a phone call, and whilst that might seem like an ancient practice to many of us, it is still a key consideration for business users. Most companies that supply employees with phones do not even consider offering the plus models because of the difficulty in actually using them as a phone for phone calls. BUT, apart from these two issues, the plus model is an extraordinary display of how far technology has come, and if you value document/media viewing over portability, the plus model is definitely for you.

If you feel that the plus models are going to be a hinderance day-to-day, whether due to its portability or ease for phone calls, do not fear, the regular iPhone models boast almost identical features in a size that allows you to use your phone as a media viewer and communication device. There are very few features that the plus models hold over the regular models, and unless these are the reasons you are buying the phone, you won't even notice the difference. By choosing the regular models you open yourself up to a lot more choice when buying a used phone, as there are a lot more regular devices compared to the plus models because they are are so popular with personal and business users. You will also save yourself a fair bit of money as the plus models always have a higher purchase price for two reasons: you quite literally are paying for more phone for your money, and there are less used plus models on the market, therefore driving up the price.
